The Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York (WBASNY) is
pleased to announce that its 2021 Convention will take place on May 21 –
22, 2021 online for the first time ever.
At the Virtual Convention, WBASNY’s 2021-2022 Officers will be
installed:

WBASNY’s 2021 Award Recipients also will be recognized:
Betty Weinberg Ellerin Mentoring Award (for serving as a mentor,
teacher, guide and trusted counselor to hundreds of attorneys and judges) –
Myrna Felder, Esq.; Doris S. Hoffman Medal (for exceptional leadership and
service to women lawyers in New York State) – Hon. Leslie E. Stein; Joan L. Ellenbogen Founders Award (for work
advancing the status of women in society and the law) – Hon. Jacqueline
W. Silbermann; Marilyn R. Menge Award (for valuable and
significant contributions to a chapter or statewide organization) –
Maureen Crush, Esq.; Doris S. Hoffman Outstanding New Lawyer Award
(for bar member of less than five years who has made outstanding
achievements within the profession or within member’s community or both) –
Catherine Gonzalez, Esq.; Hanna S. Cohn Pro Bono Award (for contributions of

The Women’s
Bar Association of the State of New York (WBASNY) is the professional
membership organization of choice for more than 4,000 attorneys throughout
New York State, and the largest statewide women’s bar association in the
country. For four decades, WBASNY has been a singularly important
resource for women lawyers, with professional networking, continuing legal
education programming, leadership training, and advocacy for the rights of
women, children, and families. Through involvement with WBASNY’s 20
regional chapters and its 40-plus substantive law committees, WBASNY’s
members collaborate with one another on a variety of issues and perform
public and community service, in furtherance of its mission to promote the
advancement of the status of women in society and women in the legal
